Woah! Slow down!

Yikes! We haven’t even announced the release of 2Large2Email yet and already the traffic to the site has been encouraging. The viral effect of the internet is up to its old tricks!

If you’ve signed up for a 2Large2Email account and can’t make it work properly with humungous files, there’s a simple reason: we haven’t “flicked the switch” yet so you’ll only be able to send smaller files at the moment. We’re not quite ready to unleash 2Large2Email to the world yet but you can sign-up and get your free trial underway.

Customer Support signed-up and sorted

It’s no surprise that people sometimes need a helping hand when dealing with new products. Whether it’s vacuum cleaners or computers, customers sometimes have questions about how to make the most of their new product. We agree, and we’ve negotiated a great arrangement with our partner companies.

You see, 2Large2Email is part of a publicly listed company. Our parent company, Manaccom, has a number of divisions including a fully functional customer support organization. We’ve arranged with those guys to handle email support for 2Large2Email customers who have difficulty using the product or need more information on how to use the features.

We’re very happy with this outcome, as it will supply a level of support unmatched by our rivals. The goal is to have issues sorted out and replied to within 6 hours. Now people sending large files with 2Large2Email have that extra hand if they need it.

Video killed the user manual

I was at my mother’s house the other day, showing her the latest build of 2Large2Email. My mother, Leslee, isn’t the most advanced computer user in the world, but she can navigate her way around reasonably well. The problem is, new things scare her a little. Wikipedia makes her eyebrows rise. She leaves other websites if they’re too complex. Google is more her thing.

Leslee is a receptionist and is often tasked with sending large PDF files to her clients. Like everyone else, her larger attachments bounce. When I told her about a way she could send large files (2Large2Email!) she was pretty excited. So, I showed her. “Where are the videos?” she asked. Err, what videos?

And then it hit me. Imagine being able to log into a new website and see, right there, a short video on how to proceed! So that’s what we’re doing. When you log into 2Large2Email for the first time there will be a short “show me how” movie to get you moving right along. The second time you log in it won’t be there, but you can always access it again from any screen.

Although 2Large2Email has been made to be as simple as possible it’s always possible that someone might like to refer to a user manual for some features. We’re pleased to be able to offer them a much faster, cleaner and more effective way of getting started. Thanks, Leslee!
